Saturday on the island and the bikes arrived on mass for day two of the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix. The car park's full as rev heads came from far and wide to catch the world's best. How was the ride? A little bit wet, but not too bad. We don't miss a year. We haven't missed a year in probably 25 odd years. I'm from the Bega Valley. That's a very long ride. 626 K's the way I came down. It was a picture-perfect day for a ride with plenty of action on and off the track to keep punters entertained. But there was only one man the green and gold faithful wanted to see. The biggest cheers reserved for home hero Jack Miller. Who caught up with his biggest fans. What's your name? Miller. After Jack Miller? Yep. So you're his biggest fan? Yep. The 30 year old impressed in qualifying and will start tomorrow's main race from the front row of the grid in third. Expectation growing about a potential podium finish. It's unreal obviously nice to be back here in Australia. Sun's out, you know for the fans it makes everything life a lot nicer. So fingers crossed we can carry over a good qualifying result. If he can finish somewhere towards the front at the end of the race will be pretty incredible. The island is infamous for its unpredictable weather but much of this weekend so far has been sunshine and blue skies and hopes are high for a big crowd on race day tomorrow. The forecast is for a pretty warm day. So I imagine that's that'll bring them along and Jack Miller's sort of at the front of the grid. So that'll get a few people I reckon coming along. We've been really lucky with the weather this weekend and that's shown with the crowd. Yesterday was a really good crowd and today looks like a really good crowd as well. The island crowd potentially roaring an Australian home. And thousands are expected at Phillip Island for tomorrow's main race. Sam Mills as you saw is there. Sam is everything ready to go? It certainly is Chris. We are hoping for another gorgeous day here on the island. Although the races tomorrow have been pushed back an hour just to deal with a little bit of early morning wind so that the riders don't fall off their bikes. There's been plenty of stars in and out of the paddock here today. Chris Hemsworth actually dropping by to see his old town come alive. But all eyes tomorrow will be on Jack Miller. He finished fourth in the sprint this afternoon. He will start from third on the front row tomorrow. So all hopes are on him. Hopefully we can get an Aussie victory but you can catch all the action here on Network 10 tomorrow.
