Staff member Tn and owner Raul Corral have both contributed by giving away food to those affected by issues such as uncertain SNAP benefits, the COVID-19 pandemic, and homelessness.

The pizzeria's efforts include supporting families with sick children, seniors, and women in sober living facilities, as well as building relationships with local homeless individuals. Regular customers praise the welcoming atmosphere and generosity, and the staff hope to expand their community partnerships to continue helping neighbors in need.

Mhm. It's a typical day at Knockout Pizzeria in Mira Mesa. Steaming hot pizza pies filled up with toppings, sliced up and ready to go. The moment we got six going for a delivery order. But in the morning before we open, we have all these pizzas done for people who want to come in and buy slices. T and when has been sprinkling cheese here on and off nine years. Yeah, I'll go off on other adventures. Like I was living in florida for 20 months and I just come back here. When T ends up the pizzeria, she makes her time meaningful like during covid, she would give out slices to people struggling to get food. But not only that, since snap benefits have been uncertain during the government shutdown, she's been giving up pizzas and time to people she knows who need their resources as a sick child and they can't work at the moment. Um, then I have seniors who also depend on snap benefits. I have a sober mother, sober living facility. Um, on Sundays I'll take those women to the grocery store when the staff benefits come back in. Tn takes after her boss, Raul Corral, who has been giving out slices to homeless people who come into a shop after hours. I've had this relationship with them to the point where I tell them if they're in need, all they have to do is ask me, I have no problem feeding them. Regulars love the overall feel of the pizza shop and the heart behind the pies could really taste the love when you take, take a bite of this type of pizza. Uh, so it just goes to show that you got good people making the food. So that's all good vibes. I love that.
