Police have taken over the investigations and are seeking information from the public, though they currently do not believe the incidents are linked.

Three fires sparking three separate investigations. Flames engulf a home on Lincoln Avenue in Glen Waverley in Melbourne's east just before 5 a.m. It was a bit scary. Firefighters quickly on scene, stopping the blaze from spreading. Crews had to work very hard to protect the neighbouring properties as they were under threat. Torch lights seen near the home as a car leaves with its headlights off a few hours before the flames took hold. In the city's north at around the same time, fire rips through a house on Stockton Street in Craigieburn. The house was inferno. It was intense. The whole house was on fire and even we heard the roof falling. Flames were shooting probably 20, 30 metres above the roof line. And in Noble Park earlier in the night, security cameras capture a man breaking in through the window of a home on Alfred Street just before 11 p.m. leaving with a dog in tow. A few moments later, flames ignite. Luckily, no-one was home in any of the properties targeted, all of which were completely destroyed. I'm just happy no-one was in the house. All three of these fires are being treated as suspicious, with firefighters handing the investigation over to police, who are appealing for public help to find those responsible. At this stage, detectives don't believe the fires are linked, but do want to hear from any witnesses or people who caught the fires on video. Harvey Biggs, 10 News.
