The event occurred at the intersection of East Hampton and South Yosemite and was reportedly preceded by a dispute that began earlier at Cherry Creek Reservoir. Witnesses stated that the group was seen arguing at the intersection before one of the motorcyclists fired a shot at the suspect's car. The suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended and is now being held on charges of vehicular homicide and assault. Authorities are still determining whether the suspect and victims were previously acquainted.

According to investigators during a fight, police arrested the suspect after he tried to run away. He's now being held at the Denver Jail for a vehicular homicide and assault. Police do not know if the suspect and the victims knew each other.
