I mean, the only reason I'm able to do this comeback is because I got a partial knee replacement. I think racing Cortina obviously was something that was a little bit of a carrot, you know, on a stick dangling in front of me and made me more inspired to want to do this comeback. The Milan Cortina Olympics became her North Star, but getting there meant rebuilding everything from scratch. After a partial knee replacement freed her from years of pain, Vonn spent the 20, 24 to 2025 season finding her rhythm again. A Super-G podium in Sun Valley proved she was close, but it was her stunning victory in St. Moritz that announced she was truly back. I'm really confident going into the season. You know, last year was the first year of my comeback and it took me a while to kind of get into a rhythm. I had some things to figure out, especially with my equipment, but this summer was an amazing preparation period. I feel like I'm in great shape. I have a great team surrounding me, so I'm excited to start the competitions again. That 83rd World Cup win made her the oldest winner in history and now she's racing toward Olympic redemption.
