The Discovery Centre in Halifax is currently featuring Sean Kenny's 'Animal Superpowers' exhibit, which presents a collection of giant animal sculptures constructed from thousands of Lego bricks. Each sculpture is accompanied by information about the animal's unique abilities, and some, like the polar bear, use up to 150,000 Lego pieces and took over two weeks to build.

The exhibit has attracted both children and adults, who have expressed amazement at the detailed and solid Lego creations, including features such as mountain goat hair made from tiny Lego human figures. The exhibition will remain open to visitors for three months on level zero of the Discovery Centre.

So this is Sean Kenny's animal superpowers built with Lego bricks. So we have a ton of giant Lego animals and each sign kind of tells us about their superpowers. So every single animal is made with thousands of tiny Lego bricks and they come together. Some, I know the polar bear came with 150,000 pieces of Lego. It took 16 days straight to build. Every animal is built with Lego, even the inside, so they're not hollow. They are completely made of Lego and they are very heavy. Kids have been loving it, both kids and parents. I sat with a kid who sat down in front of the animals and he said he was awestruck. What is your favorite thing about seeing the animals today? I like the green stuff. I love a lot of stuff. Were you surprised that things like the woodpecker there is made, it's all Lego, that they made the big sculpture? Yeah, how do they make that? My favorite is the mountain goat. So that's over in this direction. I think there's three mountain goats, but when you take a closer look you can see that the hair on the bottom of mountain goats is actually tiny little white like sculptures of humans that are stuck upside down. So it's very detailed and I just like that you can look and really see how much detail and effort that the artist really put in. So the exhibit will be here for three months and people can come to Discovery Centre and check it out. It's on level zero, so it's going to be a lot of fun.
