This game one of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Indiana Pacers and the New York Knicks tips off tonight in New York City with a trip to the NBA Finals on the line here. We've got just the right guy to talk to this about. Chris Dudley joins us now. Many of you know he is a former NBA player who logged 16 seasons in the league. Chris, thanks for being with us. We know that you were with the Knicks from 97 to 2000. You played in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers in 1999. So just give us a pulse check. How intense is this moment for the players? Well, thank you, Errol. No, this is fun. New York's been looking forward to this for, oh, man, it's been like 25 years to get back to the Eastern Conference Finals. The players are fired up. The teams know each other. They've played each other. Everybody knows what each other's going to do. And now it's just coming. And now you're just waiting for the tip off. And you can't wait to get going. And it brings back a lot of great memories for me, and just how fun it was to be a part of that, to be in New York. The garden was electric. It was a really exciting time. And what was so special about that 99 team was that was the shortened season. It took us a while to get going. We'd had new players, and we connected. And it really became a team where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. And we really just gelled at the end of the season, going into the playoffs, and had a great run. And we felt very confident going into that series against Indiana. Went in, got game one in Indiana, and then obviously had to go through with Patrick, our leader, getting hurt in game two. But then we were able to come together and find a way to win it in six. It's great seeing those classic pictures of you playing back in the day. How much of a factor will star power be in this series? Who do you think might come out on top? Because each team is hungry for this. Yeah, no, I mean, that's what's so fun here, is exciting, is it's an evenly matched series. Indiana has had a great run. They've been a hot team. I know Coach Carlisle, Rick's done a great job with them. And Tibbs was our assistant coach in New York. I love Brunson. Jalen, I played with Rick, his dad was on that team. And just a great guy, a great teammate, absolutely great teammate. And so personally, I'm biased, but I'm picking the Knicks to win it. But it could go seven.
