The man accused of shooting and killing a Kentucky State University student and injuring another fled not guilty inside of court Thursday morning. Jacob Bard said that there was more to this story and that he is not a flight risk. Despite that, the judge overseeing this case said a bond at one million dollars. Bard is charged with one count of murder and one count of aggravated assault. We should point out that a 19 year old student has died as a result to what happened earlier this week. The prosecution says that that in and of itself should be enough for Bard to remain in custody going forward. He has another court appearance set for December 16th at 1 p.m. Eastern time. And to reset, this all happened earlier this week where shots rang out in the afternoon. Campus police and eventually city police quickly responded to the scene, saying that a student was down. Another hurt as well. But the shooter in this case, Jacob Bard, was in custody, according to police. They say that this was a physical altercation, an isolated incident, and that the rest of campus didn't have anything to worry about. Still concerns and calls for increased security and security measures in and around the campus. Because of that, classes canceled for the rest of this week.
