Our stadium is about 12 miles from Dallas. After making his first million in the oil industry, he bought the team back in 89, at a time when Dallas, he says, was down and out. Those days are gone. Dallas in every direction, just sprawling out. Jones now sees Dallas as the ultimate mega city in the middle of America. And as we flew north to the suburb of Frisco, we spotted part of the reason why, the Cowboys' new headquarters. He's at the 10, the 20, the 30. Jones had his chopper touchdown near the end zone. The football players are not the only athletes on the field, not the only stars on the field. And I'm thinking about the cheerleaders. What do they mean to the Cowboys? They're wonderful young women that come from many walks of life. Now almost 30 years later, the cheerleaders are stars of their own reality series and recipients last year of a 400% raise. But Jones says. It never has been about the money. What it is about is the opportunity, if you will, to be a part of a team, to build on a legacy.
