Now as to timings and exact locations, the couple seem determined to keep everyone guessing. Photographers spotted security guards near the Madonna dell'Orto, a historic church where the ceremony may be held. And a source close to Venice City Council told CNN that a variety of locations had been booked and that the final decision about where things would be held would be made on the basis of the weather and protesters. One of the protest groups, No Space for Bezos, claimed victory on Tuesday, saying that one of the parties may be moved out of the city center to the Arsenale. The problem is not the wedding. Activists from Greenpeace and other groups rolled out a massive banner in San Marco Square on Monday, criticizing the opulent wedding. I do think it's a little over the top, but I think he's bringing a lot of business to the city here. In the last few days, the couple have reportedly donated to several charitable foundations here in Venice devoted to architectural and cultural preservation. And according to a portion of the wedding invitation that was broadcast by ABC's Good Morning America, they've suggested that guests not bring gifts, saying rather that donations will be made to these causes on their behalf.
