The National Hurricane Center is tracking Invest 98L, a tropical wave moving across the Caribbean Sea. Heavy rain and gusty winds will impact the Windward and Leeward islands on Monday.

Meteorologists are closely tracking Invest 98L, an open wave system with a 70% chance of development in the coming days. The system is expected to gradually organize as it moves westward, aided by limited wind shear and warm ocean waters. 

Forecast models suggest that Invest 98L could reach tropical storm strength, potentially becoming Tropical Storm Melissa. However, there is still uncertainty regarding its exact path and timing, with some models indicating the system may linger for an extended period before being steered away.
