Workshops at the park are designed to teach children about the importance of reptiles, particularly in the context of global warming and environmental change. The park also implements ecological solutions, such as specialized irrigation techniques and the use of argan shells to retain soil moisture, to address challenges like droughts and heat waves that have contributed to the decline of native crocodile populations.

This animal park is not just a tourist attraction, but also a space to learn about the environment. The Kroko Park in Agadir in Morocco houses crocodiles. And by observing their behavior and attending workshops, visitors can learn about these animals and the human impact on nature. The objective of this workshop is to teach children and to make them understand that reptiles are so important in our environment, especially that they are exoterms and with global warming and all the changes that are happening in our globe, this category of animals are highly endangered. So this is our objective. Crocodiles were native to Morocco until the 1970s, when the animals slowly disappeared from the country due to being hunted, but also because of droughts and heat waves, a problem that the park is now trying to counter. We have implemented certain ecological solutions to address this type of problem. We use an irrigation technique for certain plants called soya and other techniques called marking. We cover the areas that need to stay moist with argan shells, so that this layer made of argan shells helps the soil remain moist even during very hot periods. Today, the park spans 4 hectares and houses more than 300 Nile crocodiles, along with various other reptiles, turtles and a wide range of plants.
