ICE agents are reportedly targeting rideshare drivers and riders at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and one incident was caught on camera.

Rideshare drivers at Chicago O'Hare International Airport have reported increased activity from ICE agents, with several drivers sharing photos and videos of federal agents approaching drivers in the airport's waiting lot. Some drivers believe that up to nine individuals have been detained, though this figure has not been confirmed by Homeland Security. 

Drivers have responded by forming a text chain to warn each other of ICE presence and are donating money to support the families of those reportedly detained. There are also unconfirmed reports that ICE agents were seen inside the airport terminal. The Chicago Aviation Department has referred all inquiries to Homeland Security, which has not provided a statement.

Terrence, Sylvia, I'll tell you what, the rideshare drivers here at the airport, they have their phones ready to go. They've been shooting all kinds of video and pictures. When ICE was spotted here detaining people, the drivers formed a text chain so they could alert other drivers to the presence of ICE. In fact, just a few minutes ago, they reported a white van that was just in this parking lot because it looked like one of the vans that ICE was using when they were here a few days ago. Rideshare drivers are sharing these pictures and video of federal agents approaching drivers while they're stopping to eat a meal or while they're out of their cars praying. They believe nine drivers were detained by ICE, but that is not confirmed by Homeland Security at this time. Uber and Lyft drivers use this lot as a waiting station to respond to ride requests from passengers at the airport. The drivers are now donating money directly to the spouses and families of those drivers who they say were taken away from this parking lot. One driver who did not want to be seen on camera described what she has seen. It was red dot. They shows two minutes ago, ICE officer was here and and also they showed the picture. Maybe it's that car. I don't know. Two days ago, he's coming this car and takes a lot of people like they are praying or eating. They don't care. And just yeah. And they just grab them. Yeah. And this parking lot is usually full of cars with drivers who are waiting to provide service to the passengers who are at the airport. It does not appear to be as crowded today. Now, there are reports that ICE agents were seen inside the airports. We asked the Chicago's Aviation Department about that. They referred all inquiries to the Department Department of Homeland Security, and we have not received confirmation reporting live at O'Hare. I'm Joni Long. Back to you, Joni. Thank you.
