Hurricane Melissa, currently classified as a category 2 storm with sustained winds of 105 miles per hour, is approaching Bermuda. The storm is moving at a speed of approximately 20 to 21 miles per hour and is located 605 miles southwest of Bermuda, remaining over open water.

Although the center of Hurricane Melissa is expected to stay west of Bermuda, the island will still experience significant wind impacts. The storm is projected to maintain its category 2 strength as it passes by the region.

pressure has gone down just a little bit at 965, but we're still looking at a category 2 105 mile per hour storm system that is still moving at the same speed of roughly 20 to 21 miles per hour. So it is cruising and it is on the way to Bermuda. It is now 605 miles southwest of Bermuda and what, 300 miles or so away from the center point of the Bahamas. So it's back out over open water and it is moving very, very fast. Here's Bermuda. So it's going to stay to your west. You will still feel the impacts of this storm system and if you notice, it stays roughly at that category 2 strength with 105 miles per hour storm system which will be to your west. You will experience some big wind out of this.
