The storm is currently tracking west at six miles per hour, remaining distant from the Caribbean islands and Bermuda at this stage. However, authorities are urging Bermuda to remain vigilant as Humberto could pose a threat in the coming days. The system is expected to become a rare Category 5 hurricane over the weekend.

But let's focus in on Umberto which really underwent some rapid intensification late yesterday afternoon. Throughout the overnight hours we've been seeing the pressure drop right in the middle. That would be the eye of the storm down to 938 millibars. The wind's responding to 145 miles per hour. It's moving west at six miles an hour, well away from the Caribbean islands and away from Bermuda for now. But Bermuda definitely needs to keep a close eye on Umberto for the coming days, especially by midweek.
