I typed, give me a $50 grocery list with meals for three days. Then it instantly generated this complete list with price estimates for each item and even suggested meals using those ingredients. These estimates were based on Kroger prices in Cincinnati, but for even more accuracy, you could specify your exact shopping location. I typed, here's my list, chicken, milk, eggs, bread, apples. How much will this cost at a Kroger in Cincinnati? It then provides estimated totals and flags higher priced items, allowing you to adjust your list before you go shopping. Now taking it a step further, you can request a five-day meal plan that capitalizes on weekly sales. Now the response includes your shopping list with estimated prices and weekly deals. It also maps out breakfast, lunch, and dinner options for each day. And for those in-store decisions, ChatGPT can quickly determine the better value. So you can just ask it, what's the better deal? 18 eggs for $3.69 or 12 eggs for $2.59. It then calculates the cost per egg, making it easier to quickly spot the smarter buy. Already have food at home? No problem. You can just tell ChatGPT what's already in your pantry. In this example, I put that I already had rice, chicken, and zucchini in my pantry, and it takes that info and then suggests meals using those ingredients.
