Satellite imagery reveals significant damage at these sites, particularly at Fordow, where bunker-busting bombs penetrated deep underground, hitting ventilation shafts linked to enrichment areas. 

Experts agree the images indicate substantial destruction, but it is uncertain how much Iran's nuclear program has been set back. Pre-strike images show trucks at Fordow, suggesting Iran may have moved some enriched uranium before the attack. The overall long-term impact on Tehran's nuclear capabilities is still being assessed.

We've been looking at satellite imagery to estimate the degree of destruction at the three sites targeted, Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. This is Iran's most secretive uranium enrichment site, buried into the mountainside in Fordow. And this is Fordow after the strikes. Six penetration holes can be seen where the U.S.'s 13,000-kilogram GBU-59 bunker-busting bombs hit what experts believe are ventilation shafts that link to the underground enrichment holes. We can also see ash and discoloration on the mountain due to the underground explosion. These bunker-busters work like a needle, penetrating as much as 60 metres underground before exploding in order to destroy subterranean facilities such as Fordow's. And this is Natanz, Iran's largest nuclear enrichment centre, which was also impacted by a bunker-buster here. Experts say this point is directly above the underground enrichment holes. Experts we've spoken to all say these images suggest significant destruction. But this image, taken at Fordow hours before the attack, shows as many as 16 trucks stationed along the access road. It means Iran could have moved some of its highly enriched uranium to an undisclosed location at the last minute in order to preserve it. While emerging evidence suggests key Iranian nuclear facilities have suffered major destruction, it's too early to tell to what extent it set back Tehran's nuclear programme.
