The Hamas-run health ministry reported 40 dead in strikes near Gaza City on Friday, and dozens more in Jabalia and the main southern city of Khan Yunis. So far, the fighting in the Palestinian enclave has left 17,487 people dead, according to the ministry's latest published figures.

40 more dead in Gaza City on Friday, as well as dozens more in Jabalia and Han Yunis, as the total Palestinian death toll surpasses 17,000, according to the Hamas-run health ministry. The IDF has released footage of what it called precision strikes on 450 targets over the last 24 hours, as Israel expands its military offensive from the north into the south of the Gaza Strip, with operations currently focused on Han Yunis. Some Palestinians calling for a stop to what they called war crimes. The United States of America and Britain now has the key. If they oppose resolution about immediate ceasefire, they will not be complicit only with this aggression. They will be a participant in these war crimes. Israeli TV, meanwhile, has broadcast images that appear to show Palestinians detained by the Israeli army, stripped almost naked, as Israeli troops walk between the rows of men. Here, they are blindfolded. In one mobile phone video, a dark green sleeve in the foreground suggests the person filming wore an Israeli military uniform. And another video appears to show detainees being transported in an Israeli military vehicle. When asked about the footage, an IDF spokesman responded. They hide on the ground and come out and we fight them. Those who remain in this area are coming out, some from shafts, some from houses as well. We investigate and check who is connected to Hamas. Everyone is arrested and questioned. London-based Arabic-speaking media Al Arabi Al Jadid said that one of their reporters is among the detainees.
