I can't lie, I have seen the tweet from Bayer Leverkusen and it's things like that that makes last night's experience a little bit surreal. But one that I think we fully deserved. There was one gripe that I had with the players afterwards that we should have beaten them in 90 minutes. We had two goals disallowed. But overall, we've got to be immensely proud and pleased with the outcome of the game and how we performed on the night. I was going to say, ahead of the match, you surely would have taken a win after a penalty shootout. History in the making for your club, for the history of the club, and such a dramatic victory as well. What does it all mean to you, Grimsby Town Football Club and indeed the people of Grimsby and that region? Yes, look, we spoke about it before. I'm pretty certain maybe three or four or five years ago, nobody had heard of Wrexham, certainly across the pond. And probably nobody's heard of Grimsby until last night. But nights like last night against an absolute giant of the footballing world that makes people sit up and take notice. So rather than just talking about it, we've got to turn up on a match day and perform. And we certainly did that last night. And hopefully people will start to look where Grimsby are on the map. This result will be talked about for many, many years to come, for decades to come. But did you honestly, truly dream? Did you honestly, truly believe, David, that your team could beat Manchester United? Yeah, I think the thing is, if I don't believe, one thing footballers are, as a general rule of thumb, they're fairly intuitive. So if I walk in, it'll be written in my body language somewhere that I don't actually believe. So I have to believe. It's unquestionable. We do a lot of work to set the team up, to train properly, to get the principles of play into them. And we've got a brilliant group of lads who will run through a brick wall for the football club and learn and listen and take an instruction in their way, however that may be. And, yeah, when time comes to it, you've got to believe. You're not a head coach if you don't believe. And we did. And we played our way. We played how we play on a normal league game. We haven't lost a game this season. We're seven games in, it's the best start for a number of years. But then, as a football club, we haven't lost at Blundell Park to Manchester United for 105 years. So we had a real long history to protect. Although I know we haven't played with them for 77 of them years, but we certainly haven't lost to them in the other 40-odd. So it was a terrific night and hopefully it makes the whole football world sit up and take notice of our little football club and watch as our journey progress. Oh, in a big way. Take us inside your mind during that penalty shootout that you call ridiculous. What are the emotions? I call that just a crazy, never-ending marathon penalty shootout. But what's going through your mind? Well, not a lot. Enjoy it. You know, I stood just behind all the players, let them stand right on the side of the pitch, arm-in-arm, me and my assistant stood behind them, and just trying to take it all in, there's nothing I can do at that point. Between the final whistle and the first penalty, I got the players together and I asked them what a penalty shootout is, and it's just a technical challenge with a psychological challenge as well, there's no tactics to it in that sense, other than maybe the goalkeeper with a bottle, with certain things like that, or the analysis, and there's no physical. So then I said to them, when you walk from the centre circle to the edge of the D and you've got an increased heart rate or you've got switched palms or you've got butterflies, that's all normal, and the £70 million man will be feeling exactly the same, because he's a human being, so that's a level. Then it's just a technical exercise, and you've got unbelievably good techniques, so back yourself, think where you're gonna go and put it there. And whatever you do, we'll back you. Yeah, well, you certainly got your message across. Your counterpart Ruben Amorim couldn't watch, he's under a lot of scrutiny right now, how much empathy do you have for Ruben? A lot, listen, football management is a tough gig, there's no getting around the fights, it's a tough gig. He needs time, I've said it many times in my career, if you offered me money, as in a big budget or time, I would take time all day long, because I want to make players better. He needs time, he's a good guy, you can see they've recruited some really good players, and they're not gonna do it all in one transfer window, two transfer windows, it's gonna take three, four, five. And the last thing they want to do is change managers every two, three transfer windows and not have the stability. They don't have to look too far back to their most successful manager to understand their stability is one of the hallmarks of success. Your goalkeeper, it turns out, is a Manchester United fan, Christy Pym, did you know that, and what did you make of his reaction, that he was half-fuming with the result, joking, I'm sure, I think? Yeah, I didn't know. It's not a question I ask the players when we do our due diligence, and I go and meet them before we sign them, who do you support as a Premier League team, it's not on the list of questions I ask them. So it came as a bit of a surprise, but obviously he was saying it half-tongue-in-cheek that he was fuming, because he had a wonderful game, as did all the players. They played terrifically well, and Christy had a stellar performance and kept all the superstars at bay for long periods of time. I'm sure when he wakes up this morning, he probably, maybe not regrets saying that, but certainly thinks he could have said something a little bit wiser, because I know he's got a bit of stick from other players as well.
