The exchange is ongoing, with around 250 more Palestinian bodies expected to be returned.

Following the identification of my son, whom I lost on October 7th, I looked at the screens but his features were unclear due to the torture he'd received. We identified him by the mole on his nose and by his teeth. The bodies returned are Palestinians killed in combat, in Israeli strikes or those who died in detention. Claims made by Israeli authorities who have rejected all accusations of torture. But identifying these bodies in Gaza is proving difficult. It's impossible to identify the bodies with the methods available because there is no equipment nor laboratory to do it. Since not all hostage remains have been returned to Israel, around 250 more Palestinian bodies are expected in the exchange.

The Trump administration is awaiting word from the Supreme Court after asking it to allow the immediate deployment of National Guard troops to Illinois to protect Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. A lower court blocked the move.
