Recent talks at the Kremlin between US and Russian officials ended without any compromise on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. While NATO praised US-led peace efforts, Ukraine's foreign ministers criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin for stalling progress. 

In response to the continued fighting, the Australian government unveiled its first military support package for Ukraine in over a year, contributing funds for weapons, radars, munitions, and drones. This brings Australia's total support for Ukraine to $1.7 billion since the conflict began.

That was their impression. Now, whether or not, you know... Do you believe? Uh, that was their impression, yeah. US negotiators are now preparing to meet Ukrainian officials. Only by taking Ukraine's interests into account is a dignified peace possible. But until then, it's up to allies to keep the war-torn nation in the fight. The Australian government today announcing its first military support package for Ukraine in more than a year. $50 million for a NATO fund to purchase US weapons, $43 million worth of radars and munitions from the ADF stockpile and $2 million put towards drones. It takes our overall support to Ukraine to $1.7 billion since this war commenced. It is a true act of mateship from Australia to Ukraine, for which we are very grateful. Klobie Boris, 10 News.
