This event is part of ongoing tensions, with Houthi rebels allied with Hamas repeatedly firing missiles since the onset of conflict in Gaza. The current conflict began after a Hamas attack in October, leading to a severe humanitarian situation in Gaza where necessary supplies are critically depleted.

The crisis in Gaza continues to escalate with an Israeli blockade limiting access to life-saving aid, affecting thousands of children and healthcare services. Meanwhile, Israel is planning to expand its military offensive by calling up tens of thousands of reservists. This development comes as part of a broader military strategy to counter threats from various fronts.

Some American and European airlines have once again today halted their flights to and from Israel and are monitoring the situation after a missile landed near the main airport, sending passengers scrambling. Whoa! Whoa! And Israel has hit back, as has the United States. President Trump ordered large-scale attacks on Houthi targets in Yemen starting in March. Meanwhile, in Gaza, dozens of hostages are still in captivity as a nearly three-month-long Israeli blockade of aid continues. Life-saving supplies have largely run out, leaving thousands of children facing malnutrition and doctors, like Bassam Zakout, with no way of treating them. Thousands of children are waiting for some magic to save their lives. And Israel seems set to expand its offensive in Gaza-Jericho, with plans to call up tens of thousands of reservists.
