This is the biggest thing and sporting event going on in the world. Carr attended the 2010 World Cup qualifier between Uruguay and Ghana and South Africa and said it's the greatest sporting event he's ever attended. There's just a united passion that you get. It's the biggest important event. Most of these fans will ever be at or be involved in a root for quarter finals and knockout games. So it's a do or die type situation. So you have intensity that the game means something just like a gigantic Super Bowl World Series type of event. So for a global level, KCK Community Colleges head women's Jefferson Robley attended the Brazil Netherlands quarterfinal in 1994 in Dallas. You would have thought that you were in Brazil. Be honest, there were a lot of Netherland fans, but the Brazil fans seem to just engulf the stadium. There were 65,000 people at the game. It felt like there were 165,000 people. It felt like there were 100,000 people outside the stadium. The 2022 World Cup quarterfinals averaged more than 250 million global viewers, which dwarfs the 185 million people estimated to have watched Super Bowl 58. Making that jump from the quarters to the semis is legacy building for both players and teams. A great team, great players.
