Coming into the match against a player ranked well above him, Ferry knew the occasion could have overwhelmed him, but instead he embraced it. Yeah, of course nervous beforehand. But at the same time, when I came through qualis, I'm playing a guy who's way higher ranked than me, so I feel like I have nothing to lose. And yeah, I felt like I held my nerve really well in the third set as well. Yeah, it's easy to kind of hold back a little bit when you know you're very close to the finishing line. But yeah, I felt like I did a really good job today. That composure carried him through two hours and 12 minutes of fearless baseline tennis. Next up, Thomas Martin Echevery, and another opportunity to prove this is where he belongs.
