The agreement, brokered by the United States, requires Israel to allow the passage of 608 aid trucks daily, but current deliveries are reported to be only half that amount.

Commission representatives cited bureaucratic obstacles and limited access at border crossings as significant challenges for aid organizations. Despite the World Food Program having sufficient food supplies for Gaza's population, ongoing shortages of food, medicine, water, and fuel persist. The Commission also urged Israel to open all four main crossing points, noting that only two are currently operational.

The World Food Program has about 170,000 tons of food ready to be delivered to Gaza, and this would be enough for three months for all the population of Gaza to have nutrition. The dire humanitarian crisis continues to persist in Gaza. The Strip is still facing acute shortages of critical basic necessities like food, medicine, water and fuel. The European Commission has also urged Israeli authorities to open all crossing points into Gaza. that of the four main ones, only two are currently open.

The Trump administration is awaiting word from the Supreme Court after asking it to allow the immediate deployment of National Guard troops to Illinois to protect Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. A lower court blocked the move.
