Ed Sheeran has announced his long-awaited return to Australia and New Zealand with the Loop tour in 2026. On his last visit, he broke the Australian record for attendance at a ticketed event -- twice.

Ed Sheeran has announced that his new loop tour will commence in Australia and New Zealand, starting in January. The announcement took place at the Lord Dudley Hotel in Sydney, which was temporarily renamed in honour of one of his new songs. 

Fans at the event expressed enthusiasm for Sheeran's return, recalling previous tours and praising his innovative performances. Sheeran confirmed the tour will feature new and old songs, a new stage, and new tricks, but dismissed the idea of a 'kiss cam'. Tickets are set to go on sale later in the week.

I went to the Divide tour back in 2018 and then his multiplication tour, the mathematics tour, sorry, a couple of years ago with my best friend and that was just absolutely incredible. He's such an amazing performer and so innovative. I just, I'm so excited. Put your hands together for the one and only Mr. Ed Sheeran. New stage, new tricks, new set, new songs, old songs, really excited about it. But no kiss cam. We did put to him whether or not he had thought about it. The answer was a stern no, smart man. But there are of course plenty of things to be excited about and Ticket Centre, will they go on sale later this week?
