A cold weather system has resulted in snowfall across parts of the southern United States, including South Carolina, North Carolina, central Georgia, and even the Florida panhandle. Areas such as Pensacola, Dill, Flat Rock, and Thomaston have reported snow accumulations ranging from 1.5 to 1.8 inches, creating winter conditions uncommon for the region.

Winter storm warnings remain in effect, with temperatures dropping to freezing in cities like Macon. Motorists traveling south from Atlanta are advised to exercise caution as the snow continues to move through the area, with additional snowfall expected in Augusta and the Carolinas.

If you're driving south from Atlanta, you guys will get into it, so please be careful. Look at Tifton, still at 40 degrees. That's where a lot of these temperatures were to start this morning, and now you're gonna be seeing that cold weather come through. Macon's now down to 32. Won't be long until the snow is done there, and then Augusta will get it. We'll probably see it all the way up, as I mentioned, up into the Carolinas as well.
