More unidentified drones were seen over Denmark overnight into Saturday, just days after a major drone sighting prompted the closure of the country’s main airports on Monday in what officials slammed as a “hybrid attack”.

Unidentified drones were observed near a major Danish military installation, reportedly the Karup airbase in western Denmark, according to the Danish Armed Forces. This incident follows a series of drone sightings that recently led to the temporary closure of several airports, including Copenhagen's main airport.

Authorities have condemned these events as hybrid attacks on Denmark's critical infrastructure. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen described the earlier incidents as the most serious attacks on the nation's infrastructure to date. Investigations into the source and intent of the drone activity are ongoing.

Close to a half-dozen other airports, both civilian and military, were also temporarily restricted in the days that followed due to similar breaches. Danish authorities have slammed the incidents as hybrid attacks. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said on Thursday that Monday's attacks were, quote, the most serious on Danish critical infrastructure to date.
