Good morning, my lord. Did you ever imagine when you first were introduced to Carson, just how magical this character would be and how much fun you'd have with him over 15 years? Not for a moment, Angela. The fact that we're here silver-haired and heavier 15 years later is a shock, shall we say. In the third film, Lady Mary causes a scandal when she gets divorced. I'm very sorry. I shouldn't have come. We really had to kind of lean into that storyline, that it would have been so shocking at the time and she really would have been pushed out of these social occasions. But it's the relationships the actors have formed in real life that have proved the happiest. For a show that no one expected to last beyond seven episodes, it's remarkable that here we are 15 years later and still not usually throwing furniture at each other. One of the shining stars of Downton was of course the Dowager Countess, played by Dame Maggie Smith. Violet passed away in the last film, but the cast is also mourning Maggie, who died last year. For us as actors, we're so grateful to have worked with someone like her and there's so much that I'll take with me. Did you get to dance with Dame Maggie Smith? Yeah, and that was one of the most frightening experiences of my life. I said, how am I doing, Maggie?
