Trump has been raging on social media about investigations into Democratic Senator Adam Schiff and New York Attorney General Letitia James. He's accused them both of committing mortgage fraud. Trump loathes both Schiff and James. Schiff because he led the impeachment proceedings against Trump during his first term in office, while James prosecuted and won a case that Trump committed fraud by exaggerating his net worth on financial records to obtain more favorable loan terms. Trump also has it out for his former National Security Advisor John Bolton. Bolton broke with the president, publishing a memoir that portrayed Trump as reckless and unfit to lead, a move seen as the ultimate betrayal from someone inside Trump's inner circle. Last month, FBI agents raided Bolton's home as part of an investigation that officials said was linked to classified documents. The raid came a day after Bolton criticized Trump's tariffs on India. Critics fear these investigations are only the beginning.
