Dr. Salvador Placencia of Santa Monica, who admitted to selling ketamine to actor Matthew Perry, is scheduled for sentencing in downtown Los Angeles. Placencia faces up to 40 years in prison and a $2 million fine. Perry, who was using ketamine as a treatment for depression, died of an overdose two years ago. Placencia is the first of five individuals to be sentenced in connection with the case, with the lead defendant, Jasveen Sangha, expected to be sentenced in February.

The lead defendant, Jasveen Sangha, dubbed the ketamine queen, will be sentenced in February.
