However, fact-checking revealed that the video is not authentic. No major news outlets reported such an incident, and the National Assembly's visitor dress code makes the scenario unlikely. Further investigation showed the video originated from an account dedicated to AI-generated humor, with the 'Sora' watermark indicating it was created using OpenAI's video generation technology.

One social media user sharing the clip is a harsh critic of the French left and promotes content which favours the far-right National Rally Party. The clip he shared displays texts claiming that the teenagers in the video are part of the far-left France Unbowed Party, accusing them of behaving as if they were in their own living room. In the comments, the user who did not respond to Euronews' request for comment stated that only the left would claim this video could be AI-generated. However, should such an incident have occurred, there would have been major news headlines about which there were not. Although school visits are permitted inside the National Assembly, the institution's website stipulates that an appropriate outfit is required and failing that, visitors can be turned away. This is therefore a first indicator that this video is fake. Now, by conducting a reverse image search, Euronews found a number of similar clips with the tag AI and AI humour in the caption. While the clips could be seen as humorous, they've also been used to spread messages with racist undertones, associating young black men with bad behaviour. The Cube was able to identify the original clip, which was posted by an account called HumourIA. IA is the French acronym for Artificial Intelligence. The clips bear the Sora watermark on them. Sora 2 is a new technology created by OpenAI, the same company that founded ChatGPT. It enables users to generate 10-second-long realistic-looking videos from text prompts.

The Trump administration is awaiting word from the Supreme Court after asking it to allow the immediate deployment of National Guard troops to Illinois to protect Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. A lower court blocked the move.
