A review found it needed to focus more on areas of clean energy and advanced technologies. The statement released by the company said they'll be prioritizing areas making cuts to the lack of where they make significant impacts. This is a massive blow for the CSIRO and I don't think many Australians would have imagined that the Albanese government would oversee more job cuts to the CSIRO than the Abbott government but that's where we are and I think it's it's urgent that the government actually steps up and funds our National Science Agency more. The CSIRO has cut more than 800 positions in the past 18 months.
