Recent videos depict agents detaining individuals in Kenner and at a Baton Rouge construction site, with some detainees' families expressing frustration over not receiving information about their loved ones' locations or how to contact them.

Community activists and relatives have raised concerns about the lack of transparency during these detentions, as agents reportedly did not provide warrants or details about where detainees were being taken. The operation has prompted calls for clearer communication between authorities and affected families.

'Catahoula Crunch' immigration operation expands outside New Orleans

To Louisiana now, where we are now seeing new video of federal agents expanding an immigration crackdown, which the feds call Catahoula Crunch. This is just outside of New Orleans. Let's go live now to CBS News national reporter Katie Weiss, who's in New Orleans. Katie, where else are people seeing this operation take place? Sure. Well, we're beginning to see this operation fan out beyond the borders of the Big Easy into suburbs outside of New Orleans and far beyond a couple hours away into Baton Rouge. First, let's show you a video of a man in Kenner, Louisiana, about 20 minutes away from here in New Orleans, where he was being detained back on Thursday. His family shot this video. They tell me that he first noticed unmarked SUVs following him while he was driving to the bank. He called his family to tell him that he noticed this suspicious activity and decided it might be best to come home. The family told him, yeah, come on home. We're going to have the doors unlocked waiting for you. We'll be here. And as soon as he pulled up in front of his house right there in the driveway of his home, immediately another SUV pulls up next to him. Agents get out and pull him from his vehicle and immediately put him into cuffs. You can see in the video where his family, his daughters are crying to the agents saying, why are you taking him? Do you have a warrant? What are you taking him for? And they're also asking him, where are you taking him? And the agents did not respond, did not provide any information about where he would be going. And the man's family tells me they just wish that they would have a way to be able to contact him. And that's something that we're hearing from many community activists is that they're not getting information oftentimes when these arrests incidents happen as to where these people are going and how family members, loved ones can stay in contact with them while they remain in a detention center. Meanwhile, the man's family describes this person as a caring man who anytime he's asked how he's doing, he almost always answers better than yesterday. Now, in another video, this one taken in Baton Rouge, that's about two hours away from New Orleans, just up the river. You can actually see agents chasing several construction workers at a muddy construction site. You can see the agents make some of the men kneel in the mud as they handcuff them and take them into other unmarked SUVs. Now, the man who took that video did not want to be interviewed, but he did say that these men were at work when this took place. Liz? Katie Weiss live for us in New Orleans.
