I think the share prices were around 24 mil before the grand final, now over 50. So there's been a huge surge since the grand final win. On Monday, shares rocketed more than 40%. Look, it's happened before in global sport, in the United States, in the NFL and with Manchester United, but it's never happened in Australian sport. So this is a first. The price has since lowered a little, but there's no sign of Brisbane's winning streak slowing down. After the River City claimed three major premierships in just two weeks, there are now growing calls for a Suncorp Stadium upgrade. To the Premier, build a bigger stadium because we sold that one out and we'll sell it out again. Hopefully the Premier's listening and hopefully the people of Queensland will support more seats at Suncorp Stadium. And listening he is. And the things that I've been looking at in recent months tells me that there's the opportunity to get some extra seating, including some pretty good quality stuff as well. With Suncorp set to host matches for the 2027 Rugby World Cup and the 2032 Olympics, the clock is ticking on an upgrade. To track world-class events, yeah, it'd be good to get another 20,000 there. Sydney's already locked in for next year's NRL Grand Final, but there could be a hosting showdown with the River City for future years should Brisbane keep on winning.
