Following the match, police escorted the Pistoia supporters' bus, but some Sebastiani fans reportedly followed and attacked the vehicle, fatally striking the second driver with a brick. Italy's Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni condemned the violence, and authorities have launched an investigation, though no arrests have been made.

In a post on X, Italy's Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni condemned the quote unacceptable and insane act of violence. Investigations are underway to trace the attackers. No arrests have yet been made.
