Camila, what's at issue in the court proceedings today in Chicago? Good evening, John. Gregory Vovino has really become one of the most high-profile public faces of the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigration, personally leading Border Patrol operations to arrest suspected unauthorized immigrants in major Democratic-led cities like Chicago and Los Angeles. And today, in front of a federal judge in Chicago, he was directed to comply with the ruling that limits and restricts John when his federal agents can actually use force against protesters. That has become a very controversial debate in Chicago in recent weeks, as federal agents have escalated immigration operations in that part of the country. That order requires federal agents, in most cases, John, to issue two warnings before deploying chemical agents and to limit the use of force to situations where law enforcement officers actually believe that there is a serious risk posed by protesters. Vovino, as you noted, now has to provide daily updates on the status of agency operations in Chicago. We should underscore, John, that according to Department of Homeland Security data we obtained here at CBS News, the Department of Homeland Security has made over 2,800 immigration arrests in the Chicago area since launching that operation in that region of the country in mid-September. Half of those arrests have been conducted by the Border Patrol teams led by Vovino. 20 seconds, Camilo. I understand you have new reporting about these tactics being used in other places. Well, the Trump administration is staging a major shakeup at Immigration and Customs Enforcement, developing plans, John, to reassign as many as a dozen Icefield Office directors across the country. The plan also involves replacing many of those Icefield Office directors with Border Patrol officials. The objective there, I'm told, John, is to have ICE embrace Border Patrol's more sweeping, controversial and expansive and aggressive operations across the country, like those Home Depot operations that we have seen in places like Chicago.
