The Toronto Blue Jays have continued their aggressive offseason by signing Japanese star Kazuma Okamoto to a four-year, $60 million contract. This move follows the recent additions of pitchers Dylan Cease and Cody Potts, bringing the team's estimated payroll to $294 million US, the highest in club history.

Toronto is reportedly still pursuing top free agent outfielder Kyle Tucker and hopes to re-sign fan favourite Bo Bichette, who played a key role in the team's recent World Series run. With 46 days remaining before spring training, the Blue Jays have not ruled out further roster moves.

The one thing that I would add is additions at this point will start to cut away at playing time from players that we feel are very good major league pieces. Bichette once told CBC News about his favourite place to eat. There's a new restaurant called Animal that's really good. I love it. Turns out Animal loves him too. Posting online a note for Bo. Offering him steak for life on us. If only he stays with the Jays. Our steak is worth it though. You know hopefully he signs a long-term deal and he stays with us for many years.
