K-pop bands like Stray Kids and iKon also thrill crowds and inspire fans across France. Paris has a reputation in the K-pop scene. Every time groups come to France there's a great vibe. For us Westerners, we're not used to having a fan culture like this with little signs, little lightsticks, etc. So I find it very interesting. When their favorite stars aren't in France, K-pop fans dance to the rhythms of the songs they love. About 30 students participate in this class, and their numbers are growing. For hip-hop I received about 20 requests, and for K-pop about 100. That number is growing. Hotels and apartments have been flooded with booking requests in the lead-up to Blackpink's concerts in France. K-pop is more than just a music genre, it's a multi-billion dollar industry.
