Snowfall is forecasted for several western U.S. mountain regions, including the Cottonwoods, Wasatch Front, and Colorado Rockies, where snow drought conditions have been reported. While Salt Lake City is expected to see limited accumulation, higher elevations and areas such as Breckenridge and Denver are likely to benefit from the incoming systems.

A second weather system will bring cooler air and increased snowfall to Denver, Pueblo, and the Palmer Divide, with watches and advisories in effect. After a brief pause, snow is expected to continue into the upper Midwest, and the Intermountain region, Tahoe, and the Cascades will also receive much-needed precipitation.

The West is starting to improve a little bit. And as you can see, more snow for the Cottonwoods, the Wasatch Front, the Colorado Rockies. They could really use it in Breckenridge, so they could really use a front rainstorm. But you can see the watches that we have, the advisories and the warnings as well that we're expecting through here. This is not a big snowmaker for Salt Lake City. It's really up in the mountains that we'll get it, even though we can't rule out a little bit of snow ending, certainly in Salt Lake. Denver's gonna get some snow out of this as we work our way through Thursday night. Again, it's that second system, that second trough that's gonna come out and we'll have some cooler air, some upslope into Denver that'll help things. But I think the bigger snow, Pueblo, on down 25, the Palmer Divide, and then this thing kind of takes a break and then we pick it up again up in toward the upper Midwest. So, ladies and gentlemen, you've asked, you've prayed about it, and here it is, finally getting some snow over the Intermountain region now to share with Tahoe and the Cascades.
