Australian internet providers such as Telstra, Optus, and the NBN reported no direct impact on their networks, attributing user issues to the affected apps and programs.

Amazon has been providing updates through its operational health dashboard, indicating that the situation is improving and services are gradually being restored. Organisations affected by the outage are monitoring for any ongoing or residual impacts as systems come back online.

Amazon Web Services provides cloud computing services to businesses and organisations around the world. There are a huge number of them who have been experiencing issues over these past few hours. They include apps like Snapchat, messaging service Signal, cryptocurrency exchange platforms, small business accounting software Xero, Duolingo, the educational online platform Canva, the online graphic design platform Dating Websites, and video games like Fortnite. The list is long. On that list are Telstra, Optus, and the NBN. We've reached out to a number of these internet providers. They tell us there aren't any impacts from this on their internet networks, and any issues users might be experiencing are probably to do with the programs or apps they're trying to access through their internet. There have been updates coming from Amazon through an operational health dashboard they provide. The most recent update says they are seeing significant signs of improvement. They're starting to get on top of this. Ursula, we are starting to see programs come back online. There will be a number of organisations out there keen to see what the impact of this has been, and if there are any flow-on effects.
