Today's event has taken off everyone's spirits were flying high including mother and daughter duo Rhoda and Heidi Collins hoping to inspire the next generation of female Air Force officers. It's a funny story actually she joined after me yeah and then really enjoy flying the Spartan so I talked it up and sounded great for mom so she's like hey I'll join too. Oh I love it really love it I would I wouldn't go back to civvy world if I could. She's awesome she's like the coolest person ever. And leading the way for young and upcoming Australian female pilots now that's going above and beyond the call of duty. Not something you tend to see very often in male-dominated industries so it's pretty awesome. Queues stretched as far as the eye could see with people eager to take a glimpse inside one of several historical flying machines. What are you excited about today? All the planes flying over us. And are you wanting to be a pilot? Yeah. From new to old aircraft there is something here for everyone proudly representing our aviation history. Can you tell us a little bit about this aircraft behind us? Yeah it's a pretty famous old girl it was delivered to the Air Force in about 1965. Came here to Richmond but then it went to Vietnam and they all go up the front and go look at all those buttons and dials what do they do? An exciting aviation experience worth seeing.
