The increased tariffs mean higher costs for a range of goods, and Australia Post is currently unable to manage the new requirements, leaving many shipments on hold.

Consider this, you wrap up some books produced in Australia and a warm winter coat made in China but bought here, total value $400. You must now pay 10% extra on the books and 50% on the Chinese made jacket even before you find someone to ship it.
