The National Hurricane Center has highlighted the area for observation, but the risk to the Southeast US remains low as the system continues to move offshore.

Not developing really very much in the next couple of days, but perhaps by the time it gets over here, there'll be about a 20% chance over the next seven days. Sometimes this happens, you know, especially this time of the year with these fronts that try to come on down through the Southeast, you can get a little curl of a low pressure forming, a little spin up, and that's exactly what the Hurricane Center has highlighted right here off the Carolina coast. The final boundary though, stalling out and slowing down. I'm afraid not making its way all the way to Florida. It's only August, beginning of August. It's hard to do that this time of the year, but we also have an upper level disturbance developing along that front, and that's why we have to keep a close eye on the tropics as this continues to move away from the coastline in the coming days.
