The McLean County Port Authority emphasized the project's potential for economic growth, while residents urged the council to consider the personal impact on families before making a final decision.

In Ohio alone, there are roughly 215 data centers, according to data center map dot com. My daughter is gonna freak out. Residents like Brenda Bowman say they're worried about the facility's proximity to home schools and potential noise, especially for her daughter with autism. She's level two autism with a sensory processing disorder that humming that bothers her to flush the fluorescent lights. That bothers her. She can hear that. McLean County Port Authority addressed some concerns, emphasizing the economic growth the data center would bring, creating 100 permanent jobs. I just really want them to stop and think about everything we had to say. And if it was their family that was going through something like that, they are affected by it like personally in Wilmington.
