A 31-year-old woman sustained facial injuries after being slashed in Concourse Village, Bronx. Police responded to the scene on East 167th Street and Grand Concourse, where they found the victim and detained at least three individuals. The woman was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover. Authorities have a suspect in custody, but the motive for the attack is still under investigation. The area has since returned to normal after a significant police presence overnight.

Jodi this block is much quieter than it was just a few hours ago. Now I want to get right to that citizen video where you can see dozens of police officers here on East 1 67th Street in Grand Concourse. This video is just minutes after police say a 31 year old woman was slashed on her face just before one a.m. She was then taken to a local hospital where she is expected to be. Okay, again, you can see a sea of police officers gathered here at the scene trying to diffuse the situation. At least three people are seen in cuffs and get taken away and police say they have a suspect in their custody. Now, back at the scene, blood covers a portion of the sidewalk in front of 11 97 Grand Concourse and the area is now empty compared to the sea of people here overnight.
