To support its AI initiatives, Oracle has previously turned to the debt market and is now seeking to generate additional cash by reducing its workforce. A recent TD Cowen report suggested that laying off 20,000 to 30,000 employees could free up approximately $10 billion. Following the announcement, Oracle's stock price rose by about 3%.
