A recent study conducted by Anthropic indicates that white collar jobs, such as computer programmers, data entry specialists, and customer service representatives, are the most vulnerable to automation by artificial intelligence. In contrast, professions requiring hands-on skills, like lifeguards, cooks, and mechanics, are considered less exposed to AI-driven changes.

The study measured AI exposure by evaluating both the theoretical capabilities of AI and its current applications in various fields. Despite some anecdotal reports of reduced hiring for entry-level roles, the research found little evidence that AI has directly caused significant job losses to date. The findings suggest that while concerns about AI's impact on employment persist, its effects are not yet widely reflected in employment data.
