Who in the US will have a white Christmas?

Answer
Higher elevations in the Rockies, Northern Plains, Great Lakes, and Interior Northeast have the best chance for a white Christmas. The Sierra Nevada and Northern Rockies in the West are also likely to see snow. Most of the Northeast and Midwest will not see significant snow, except for some areas near the Great Lakes and possibly New England. The Southeast and South Central U.S. will remain mostly warm.

Total snowfall from now through Christmas morning will be limited, with most snow occurring in the North Central U.S. from passing fronts and lake effect, while the Western U.S.—especially the Sierra and Northern Rockies—urgently needs snow to prevent water shortages.
