Well, Al Jazeera's Manuel Rapolo joins us live from Minneapolis. Manuel, so much to unpack here, some very strong language we heard there from Mayor Jacob Frey, and the videos are there for everyone to watch. But now we're seeing protests that are growing where you are. That's right, Sarah. I will set the scene for you a little bit because it is now past midnight in the city of Minneapolis. We are just a few steps away from where that fatal shooting took place of 37-year-old Renée Nicole Goode. We're told by residents of this community that she was a mother of a child of four who is now left orphaned after that shooting by federal immigration officers here in Minneapolis. What we can tell you is that despite these late hours, despite how cold it is here in Minneapolis, community members just continue to pour in to pay their respects at this vigil. One of the community members that we've been speaking to is Samantha. She's 15 years old. She's here with her parents, and she has been giving out coffee to people that are coming by. Samantha, thank you for joining us. It's very quiet out here, but you can feel a certain kind of energy here in the air. Can you give us a sense of how people are feeling today? To be honest, I feel like people are pretty disappointed in what happened, anger, sadness, and probably confusion because, you know, they came here for one reason, and after the first day this happened, no one knows what's going to happen next. And Samantha, all of this stems from the fact that the federal government deployed immigration agents to the city of Minneapolis. How do you feel the attitudes of people are toward the presence of these federal agents here in the city after one of those agents fatally shot and killed one of the city's residents, one of the members of your community? They're probably filled with anger and probably disappointment because shooting an observer that did absolutely nothing wrong, it really makes them look bad, and it makes our community feel upset and anger. And the chants, they say, F.I.C.E. and all that, so probably mainly just anger. And Samantha, you're here with your parents. I know you gave us a cup of coffee when we arrived. What motivated you all to come out here tonight and volunteer the way that you're doing? We wanted to give out to our community because they're supporting us, like immigrants who came here for a better life, and now that's just getting taken away from them. We wanted to let them know that our community is an amazing community, that we're always going to be here for them. Samantha, thank you very much for your time. As you can see, still plenty of people here out on the street in Minneapolis, emotions still running high. We get the sense that people will continue to be out on the streets protesting peacefully, requesting that federal agents leave the city of Minneapolis.
